In light of the recent burgularies in the area, Meath Crime Prevention have shared this message:
"In the past few days there has been a sudden rise in the incidence of house burglary in parts of Meath. Since Wednesday there have been eleven burglaries in the Ashbourne, Duleek, Dunshaughlin and Summerhill areas. In three of these cases a black VW Golf with three young males on board was observed acting suspiciously near the scene. Please be vigilant, ensure that you house is secure and the alarm is set and call 999 or 112 immediately to report any suspicious activity".
This is great advice and I just want to add that burgularies in the Ashbourne area are, unfortunately, on the rise. Take preventative measues such as leaving lights on in the house, set the alarm, leave the dog inside or even put a camera at the front door; all of these methods will deter potential burgulars.
